Group Activities

managing groups activities

We have worked with a wide range of groups from Year 4 to Sixth Form and also Special Needs Groups.  We pride ourselves in offering experiences suited to each particular group.  We can organise activities for a single day up to multi-day / week long courses if required.  The opportunities available are possible due to the wide range of venues for caving, climbing, walking, mountain biking etc in this part of the Yorkshire Dales.

As a provider approved by AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) it is possible to offer trips for any age or ability.  Some examples are a Novice caving trip into Long Churn cave for a group of sixth formers or a 10 weekly Single Rope Technique (SRT) course for a small group of 14 year old school children.

We also have experience of developing week long activities for groups who are making a longer visit to the Yorkshire Dales.

Support and assistance in the process of organising your trip away can also be provided. We will ensure the necessary risk assessments are conduced and can also provide medical and consent forms for you to issue to your group if required. Let us know if you need any help in finding suitable accommodation.

All technical equipment and most of the specialist clothing which you will require for your chosen activity is provided.

We can offer courses tailored to your needs and are more than happy to offer help and advice.  We have a range of problem-solving activities developed over the years and suitable for use by both small and large groups. We can also access highly qualified trainers to help you make the most of the outdoor experience that we provide.

The Yorkshire Dales and in particular the area around Clapham, Ingleton and Settle offers some excellent opportunities for caving, climbing, walking and mountain biking in the immediate area.

For small groups why not take advantage of our excellent guiding services? We can offer e.g. once in a life-time trips into some of the marvellous Yorkshire cave systems, classic multi-pitch climbing routes, walking the fabulous Three Peaks or trying out some of the fantastic mountain bike routes. These are just some examples, contact us to discuss your requirements.

There is also a wide range of accommodation available locally and you may want to take a look at our link page for suggestions.

We have a good track record of providing activities for an ‘Extra Special Day’.
For example, birthday parties for groups of young people who want to do
something a bit different from the usual party to those who want to celebrate a
‘bigger’ birthday doing something just for themselves.
Stag and Hen parties are always a great success and it gives a chance to do
something a bit more healthy!
